Ying Tsoi

Ying Tsoi is a careers and university counselor at Victoria Shanghai Academy in Hong Kong. Prior to working at a high school, he held the role of international admissions manager at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where he played a key role in diversifying the university's undergraduate population. As a seasoned expert in Hong Kong higher education, he has presented at various international events and conferences organized by institutions such as the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), International Association for College Admission Counseling, and Council of International Schools (CIS).

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ying’s personal experiences as an international student at a US university shaped his commitment to access, diversity, and equity in education, in particular his service work in urban Chicago and Clarkston, Georgia supporting the low-income neighborhoods and refugee communities. He has also worked in the non-profit sector before pursuing a career in higher education guidance and counseling. He currently serves on the International ACAC Finance Committee.
